Illumination of fishing nets
The installation of LEDs in fishing gear can improve the visibility of fishing nets and thus reduce the incidental capture of certain large marine vertebrates. These lights are automatically activated when the nets are submerged and can be of different colours and intensity depending on the species to be alerted.
